MBC have interest for Coffee Prince Season 2
Lead by Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye, Korea’s MBC Channel’s popular drama Coffee Prince broadcasted Episode 17 Finale on the 26th August. Unfortunately, ratings were unable to break 30%, only reaching 27.7%. MBC has already expressed interest in filming a sequel
The night before, Coffee Prince’s actors and staff went to some Charcoal beef restaurant in Seoul for celebration party and to watch the finale together. On the night, bills were paid by female lead, Yoon Eun Hye. She and Gong Yoo both really liked CP, EH said “This drama was natural, simple and honest. On the filming sites, the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant/cheerful. Even though I had to cross-dress in the drama, giving up the chance to pretty myself, it was because of my natural dress up that lead to even more love from the public.”
Gong Yoo says: “I never even thought that the drama’s ratings would be able to border 30%, everyone really likes this drama, EH and I both felt that even if ratings performance wasn’t that good, it definitely is an outstanding drama. During my time filming the drama, it never felt like i was going to work, more like going to have fun. It’s been a while since i’ve had fun to this happy extent! So I need to thank EH and the director.” Gong Yoo also announced: “CP might be my last work of art/creation before I serve in the army, even though i’ve already received notice that i’m to enlist in October, but it might get postponed. However, at the lastest, i will still enlist within the year.”
Aside from this, alot of viewers wish for a sequel, even helping the channel in brainstorming ideas – pointing towards YEH’s Eunchan to become the “2nd store”’s boss. MBC also expressed interest in filming a sequel, but because of GY’S enlistment he may not be able to participate.

I finished watching coffee prince last month and I really like Gong Yoo & Euh Hye…Especially Gong Yoo’s smiles..I really like this drama and I am planning to watch it again for the 2nd time. I am Korean drama addict. I watched Sad Love Story for 5 times, stairway to heaven for 3 times. I am also a fan od Kwong Sang Woo. I plan to visit Korea again if affordable next year.

I watch already more than 6 times(i repeated watching it when all my family members are asleep)….I really enjoy watching it….especially when han jie can’t control himself and try 2 touch ‘him’……My heart was beating fast although see it 4 many times….Eun Hye is really ‘cool’ inside…Both of them are my IDOL…..(sad) my boy boy went 4 ‘camp’……Haiz….All fans of YEH & Gong Yoo…..Let us give them a big regards….KAMSAHAMINDA…….

before, i do not watch those subtitled movies or dramas, because my eyes got irritated easily, but when i watch ‘coffee prince’ i really like it and i watched it repeatedly. GY & YEH are really have a good chemistry, that made their audience think that they’re are really couple in real life!

Annyong hashimnikka!! Oh my god!! I am so addicted to coffee prince!!!, I’ve been watching it for the 20th time already! I even learned how to speak korean because of this hot drama… i really really really love the story most especially the cutest couple in the planet,, GONG YOO and YOON EUN HYE.. and for the record i am not really into korean drama series or any kind to that extent, but when i just had a chance to watch the trailer of coffee prince in local tv. suddenly it got my attention and its been a habit to stay tune every night even i was so tired from work, that’s how influential coffee prince to me, it made my lifestyle changed..hehehe I HOPE THAT THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL…PLEASE… I AM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT.. i never thought that i would like a Korean drama…but from the 1st episode i was crushed!
i really hope that MBC channel will consider filming season 2 soon…

Love for Coffee Prince and it’s cast doesn’t aptly describe how I feel about this drama. The characters, the storyline, the acting, the music, everything simply felt natural and perfectly fit with each other. I laughed; I cried; I ached; and I cared about each of the central characters. Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye’s chemistry makes me want to watch them on screen over and over and over…and I have! After an all night marathon viewing of the DVDs, I continue to watch my favorite scenes as well as the episodes playing on AZN. With great hope I await a continuation of Choi Han Gyul and Ko Eun Chan’s relationship!!! Listen to the fans, writers, producers, director, and cast of Coffee Prince!!! We adored you all!!! And, if it doesn’t happen, thank you truly for creating one of the most touching and endearing dramas I’ve ever watched!

there shouldnt be a sequel to coffee prince unless gong yoo’s gonna be in it!!! it just wont be the samme so we should just wait for him to come back from his army duties and then if he wants to participate then there shud be a sequel. it all comes down to whether or not hes in it or not.. if not, then there shudnt be a sequel!!!!

I just want to say that everybody here in the Philippines like Coffee Prince. I know there are a lot of Korean drama series that could do same but Coffee Prince…. it has a unique distinctive flavorful twist to it., I don’t know if that comes from the excellent people behind the scenes or the actor’s and actresses or even script writers.. but definitely it’s because of their great “EFFORT & BONDING” to make the film, I just couldn’t picture if one of the characters was not there they all sum up to a good nice and smooth KDS.
So plzzz. continue to the second season of COFFEE PRINCE…. not only im addicted to it but it gives me a lot of courage & smile to face my day

u HAVE to film a sequel with Gong Yoo. I’m telling you, if Gong Yoo does not participate in the sequel, CP 2 will lose its audience, seriously. SO PLS wait til Gong yoo returns! It’s ok to wait…it’s only for another 2 years. sequels take some time to produce anyway.

I liked asian movie but after watching various style, I develloped a liking to the Korean Drama and I think “Coffee Prince” was definetly a 5 stars series…Not like most Korean Drama, this series had combined comedy, drama and romance all in one.. It made me laugh, cry and even sympatize with the characters. I hope there is a sequel to “Coffee prince” because I know there is much more to it that can be added. This could be a the greatest series ever. thanks you for the upload!

Gong Yoo should be in the sequel, if there will be one. No other actor can replace the niche he has already created. He as Hyan Kul is really meant for Eun Chan. The sequel should start from where Coffee Prince 1 ended.

i never been hooked to korean drama before. but now after Coffee prince, i would really love to watch the other drama mde by Gong yoo and Yoon eun nye.. i hope that Gong yoo would still play the lead part. i think it wont be a hit or convincing if it will be another actor. speaking like Speed 1 (starring sandra bullock and keanu reeves) to speed 2. hehehe. just want to site an example. So thanks for making me so melodramatic for i havent been for such a long time. I love Coffee prince and everyone who did an amazing job for the project!

One of the best Korean Drame ever!!!! Really love the dramatic, funny & so much2 happening sence in CP especially when the love sparks betw Eun Chan & Han Kyul.
Love the storyline & the team look so good together. However, I was a bit dissapointed with the ending since I thought there will be a wedding. But, I am thrilled & excited to know that MBC might consider the 2nd season. Plus, Eun Chan & Han Chyul get married with kids
Hope to see more creative idea with the drama. And PLS2 KEEP ALL THE ORIGINAL TEAM ESP GY & EH!

I love this show, 1st time i watched it I knew that I would fall in love with it. Coffee Prince is the best drama show that I have ever watched on AZN television. I love GY and Yeh for the characters that they played in CP. If you are planning to do the part two sequel make sure GY will be in the cast because if GY is not there the show is not going to be the same so please keep the original cast of Coffee Prince.

I’m a working mom and mother to 4 children. My life is so busy that I don’t have time for tv. One time I had a chance to watch tv, I came accross with this Coffee Prince. From then on, I always find time watchcing CP. It gave me a very good feeling watching GY & YEH. I really feel in love again. Oh, how I wish there’s another sequel. I want to see GY & YEH get married. Please…….make another one..YEH, you’re so good and very beautiful. I like Eun Chan and her acting very much. You look very natural. I have my DVD now and I watch it over and over again.

Love CP!!!! It had all the right ingredients of a feel good korean drama. the best I’ve seen since Full House. Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye’s on-screen chemistry is priceless. Can’t wait for the sequel but like all CP fans, am hoping the original cast especially Gong Yoo will be there. It wouldn’t be the same if he will not be part of it. We do not mind waiting so long as GY is there..

I just watched the last episode on line here in Miami. Although AZN network carried the show here on cable, AZN went down for a few days last week and I missed some episodes. Out of desperation to see them, I went on line and found the entire season 1 broadcast.
I have to tell you that Coffee Prince was one of the best dramas I have seen in some time. I’m a guy and have to tell you that I have not cried and laughed at the same time nor felt such emotion towards characters as I did watching CP. The whole cast and crew were simply amazing. The storyline was so beautiful and so humane.
Please start filming season 2 BUT ONLY when Gong Yoo is finished with his military service. This guy is a fantastic actor. It just wouldn’t be the same without he and Yoon Eun Hye. All of the cast members for that matter (Fiesty Granny too), as this show has created a “Family” that viewers will look very forward to seeing again soon. Thanks MBC !!!!

I truly enjoyed CP. It is very inspiring, light, and natural, yet with good lessons to share. It was a good avenue for entertainment and relaxation after a busy day at work. It has been years since I have truly enjoyed a foreign film, wanting to see it over and over again. The cast – all of them are adorable, of course most especially the lead stars GY and YEH. Acting was natural, looks like they are just playing and enjoying. While viewers miss the show and are looking forward to a sequel, I have a feeling this is also true with the casts. I hope the sequel will still have the original cast, more importantly lead stars GY and YEH as the sequel will not be the same without one of them. Congratulations! Cheers!

Hopefully MBC have interest to continue for CP movies, more about Coffee Princess and the happy ending relationship between them (get married) scenes… Hehehe..

They are showing Coffee Prince here in the USA on AZN Television and I got addicted to it the first time I saw it. Thankfully, it has subtitles for those of us who do not speak Korean ( or do so badly). It is an absolutely wonderful program and I find myself scheduling things around the time that it airs. I would be very happy if there was a second season, if if we have to wait to see it over here. It would be sad tho if Gong Yoo was not involved in it tho, he is actually the reason we stopped to watch when we were flipping channels to begin with!) as he is so central to the story. Here is hoping that there will be a second season! We love Eun Chan and the story line- so much so we ordered the DVD’s so we will always have Coffee Prince around! ^_^

I always used to come home late from work and often times my beau will scold me for that.but what im excited to go home during weekdays and from long hours of work, apart from seeing the love of my life and two lovely kids, is to watch the episodes of Coffee Prince! (it’s usually aired in the Phils. at 10:30-11PM) Lord , how i love watching this Korean Drama! Even if its final episode was aired last Wednesday, I cant help myself watching it all over again at my soju. I’m a very busy working mom, manning the day to day operations of a surgery center, and I can’t believe myself how did I end up going crazy with Coffee Prince. Maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic person and CP was a wake up call to finally give more time to my family especially to my husband, who’s by the way have a similarity with Gong Yoo (that’s what his co-workers and friends say, even my 2 year old daughter would call Gong Yoo “Dada” when she sees him on TV at Coffee Prince! Ha ha ha) Well, in short I fell for my husband even more. I promised myself not to neglect him anymore and give him more quality time. It feels so GOOD to fall in love!!! God bless to all the cast. And thanks for this show!

uhm, please push through the sequel of Coffe Prince. Many of us here outside Korea are really hoping for a part two. I, myself is desperate for a second part. But, i wish that Gong Yoo can make it in the filming. The cast isn’t complete without him. He made a colorful portrayal of Choi Han Kyul [Arthur Choi here in my country] and no one can replace him. This trendy drama really strucked me the most that i want my hairstyle to be like Go Eun Chan [Andie Go here]. haha. Well, that’s all I can say. I just really hope that a sequel can be done, that Gong Yoo will be there and that when the sequel is done, they will air it here in the Philippines. That’s all! By the way, I just want to say the Coffee Prince has a lot of followers here in the Philippines. Promise! ^_^

Please push through on ur plan of having a sequel on Coffee Prince. I am really proud of the actors and actresses and the staff and crew behind the phenomenal sucess of this drama series. Good Job!
But please wait for our prince “Gong Yoo” to come back first. He is really fitted to the character of Han kyul same as Yoon Eun Hye.
