MBC have interest for Coffee Prince Season 2
Lead by Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye, Korea’s MBC Channel’s popular drama Coffee Prince broadcasted Episode 17 Finale on the 26th August. Unfortunately, ratings were unable to break 30%, only reaching 27.7%. MBC has already expressed interest in filming a sequel
The night before, Coffee Prince’s actors and staff went to some Charcoal beef restaurant in Seoul for celebration party and to watch the finale together. On the night, bills were paid by female lead, Yoon Eun Hye. She and Gong Yoo both really liked CP, EH said “This drama was natural, simple and honest. On the filming sites, the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant/cheerful. Even though I had to cross-dress in the drama, giving up the chance to pretty myself, it was because of my natural dress up that lead to even more love from the public.”
Gong Yoo says: “I never even thought that the drama’s ratings would be able to border 30%, everyone really likes this drama, EH and I both felt that even if ratings performance wasn’t that good, it definitely is an outstanding drama. During my time filming the drama, it never felt like i was going to work, more like going to have fun. It’s been a while since i’ve had fun to this happy extent! So I need to thank EH and the director.” Gong Yoo also announced: “CP might be my last work of art/creation before I serve in the army, even though i’ve already received notice that i’m to enlist in October, but it might get postponed. However, at the lastest, i will still enlist within the year.”
Aside from this, alot of viewers wish for a sequel, even helping the channel in brainstorming ideas – pointing towards YEH’s Eunchan to become the “2nd store”’s boss. MBC also expressed interest in filming a sequel, but because of GY’S enlistment he may not be able to participate.

they really should make 2nd shop of coffee prince BUT with different cast and different story!!! dont get me wrong.,. i absolutely love EH and GY but their story already ended well! most sequel always suck.. thee only drama with sequel that actually succeeded was hana yori dango of japan…

I think in the year 2010 is the come back of Gong Yoo from his Military Service .. So It would take too long if they have to wait for GY for the 2nd season of Coffe Prince ..

Hi! im Irene from Philippines,Korean dramas are big hit on our country. I do watch dramas, im one the avid fan of “Korean Novelas/dramas as we call on. One of my no.1 fave is coffee prince, i fell in love on the story actually it was a romantic/comedy movie.. and i really love it from the beginning until the end.Pls. if you are making a second season i hope it was the same actor and actress i do hope go yung will make it!!

hope coffee prince will have its season 2!i love this tv series so mush.i watched over 10x in youtube!and even bought a copy of it just to watch over and over again!gong yoo is really a hunk!love this korean actor!and i really hope the 2nd edition of this tv series will still be gong yoo the leadingman!gong yoo and yoon eun hye looks good together as couple in cp!if youll replace gong yoo then its not cp anymore!gong yoo,yoon eun hye the best love team ever!

hello, im kristine from the philippines. Well, coffee prince is really a hit in here. Its being aired here and it is in the final episode. I used not to be a korean drama fanatic, but as i watch the CP I used to love it. Even here in the Philippine, even guys love it. The cast are all great and its very romantic and comedy. So, im really looking forward if u could do the next season or the next sequel of the CP… I hope it will be the same actors and actress… Please, bring it to the Philippines once u have done it… Im really now a die hard fun of COFFEE PRINCE: 1ST SHOP….

hi, i’m from Indonesia. I fall in love with this drama since the first time i watched it from DVD. This drama is not similar with the other drama. I could imagine how natural it was, especially the way between GY and EHs’ love scene. Please promise me to do the second season of CP which shows the futher relationship between GY and EH. I hope there will be a wedding scene between them and no changes for the actors. I love CP!!!! I believe CP II will be booming Indonesia’s rating.

Hi i just saw this drama and oh my gosh i l reallly love this drama,,i love both of them ‘the tomboy prince’ and ‘the cool prince’ too. Let me tell you this drama is so different from others i like ,,but i little dissapointed with the ending,,i thought there will be a wedding but no,,so i hope there’s the 2nd too,,because this drama so funny yet so touching ,,i cried because of that and laughed loud because of that,,
well i’m looking forward the 2nd and meet again with those prince..

I’m not really into Korean movies and would not normally watch a series daily just to get the whole story. But geesh! I’ve slept late the entire week just to finish the DVD I can’t wait to know the ending. It really touched my heart and I love their tandem. When it was launch in the Phil. tV I knew this will make a big hit and it did! I started to get a crush on Gong Yoo funny right? I envy Yoon Eun Hye when they had a love scene. GOoosshhH! I wish I could hold Goon Yoo too! Their tandem is PERFECT! ideal couple! Pretty/ beautiful lady and a handsome guy! I salute Yoon Eun Hye for she perfectly played the role (including the moves). Anyway, I just finished the series and I would want to have a continuity of the story because I want to see them as a married couple on the 2nd season. I can’t wait to see that soon!

i just read that MBC was planning to create coffee prince season 2 but some characters might be changed because gong yoo have to go to military. To tell you at first i dont like gong yoo because i thought hes not good looking i just watch coffee prince because of yoon hae she is also the girl in princess hours remeber! but for watching it every night gong yoo catch my heart, seeing him on tv makes my heart beats very fast. i watch cp on tv and as well as in youtube. I was not just the one felt like this some of my friend also. And i could say that the tandem of gong and yoon makes the CP hit not just here in the phil. but also in the entire korea,japan,taiwan etc. i was also planning to buy their dvd altough we dont have dvd player.he,he,he addict me! sa anong magawa ko. please domt change gong yoo and eun hae wait him i could wait for many years just to watch him again. PLEASEEEEEEE….. DONT CHANGE GONG IN COFFEE PRINCE…AND PLEASE SANA THEY COULD VISIT HERE IN THE PHIL. I’m from the philippines, Coffee Prince was really an extraordinary story that’s why we really like it. Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye really matched to this CP Korean Drama. I hope so that there will be a Part 2 with the same character like Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye. Coz this CP is considered as rare compare to the other drama. My final message to the director, please do the Part 2 with more interesting episodes, you can add more characters but please dont change or remove those original characters and love teams.

I am not at all a fan of Korean Drama, not until I half way thru of the episode starts to notice it. I was tired with long hrs of work then when came back coincidently flip on this series at around Episode 7…. then I starts to get so hooked at it. I guess it is the natural charisma & aura of GY and Eun Hye..I just can’t deny that they are so good that I get so “irrational” that I want to go out & search is there any full series being sold. I just can’t wait to finish the rest of the episodes…my friends tot I am crazy/so irrational to go out to buy immediately.
I do genuinely hope that GY & EH can be tgt & get married in actual, that wud be the most beautiful picture that can be. I also strongly agree with #803 ahyel: that, ms Eun Hye & GY, if they have some mutual click in real life, pls really gv it a try..I can’t imagine who else can match u all perfectly.
It is true that missing out GY in the next sequel will miss all the essence of the drama cos the chemistry between Him & EH is just way tooooo perfect. We are all (on behalf of all Malaysian fans here), will surely wait for Mr GY to come back & be in the role back. Maybe the director can get a lil bit creative to not include GY yet in the initial stage (pls not too long w/o him, maybe 2 or 3 episods) while waiting for his military serv… then quickly connect back to his role when he is back, then we probably don’t need that long to wait for the CP2.
How good if EH & GY can get married but with more romance & funny twist inside. But I strongly like the way it is plotted when they are tgt. It is moderate & touchy.. so genuine & original. Most dramas like to add on way too much unrealistic spice inside the story line. Realistically, real life occasionally mixed with sadness & some touching/emotional moments.
I still can recall one scene in an episode. EH was sitting behind GY (on a wallside) when GY wanted to tell EH an old story about her biological mom. GY is a lil bit down, & EH is listening fm behind. When GY was so choked with emotion internally, EH (at that time still known as a Guy to GY) wanted so much to hug him to console him but couldn’t do so & starts imagining she is hugging GY. Then EH quickly gets back not to get overboard to let him notice. Both who portray the sadness & “longing-ness” of their love ones are so touching which I really can’t help with my tears. It is so reflective in our life, as sometimes it is due to some very difficult, hard to explain reasons. It is like a bittersweet moment that one would probably can’t understd at all…. I guess this is the greatest moment that Coffee Prince had portrayed.
Kudos to the person who wrote this script, muz be a super artistic person… But without matching EH & GY tgt in this sequel, I strongly don’t think the real flavor is there. Pls put them tgt for the next, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ….. Sequel. I just can’t help watching. I am imagining myself watching CP1 over & over again whenever I can alrdy….. Call me crazy, I don’t mine.

korean dramas are really a big hit in our country and i just think that it’s all about the wonderful stories that you guys do… and i can say that coffee prince is one of the best korean shows that i have watched so far..
i really do hope that gong yoo will still play the lead role together with Eun Hye because it would really be great to see them both in the sequel… and it would be nice to know what would happen next to their story…
i wonder what would be the plot for the next sequel? hmmm… i’m already excited! Good luck!

hi everybody. i have watched all the episodes in this series and it makes me really fall in love with GY! oh my God. seeing and watching GY and YEH love each other makes me wanna fall in love again! hehe.
erm..i really2 hope in season 2, the original will still remain. you are the best! and i hope producer/director can focus only the story of hankyul and eunchan only, or can include 1 or 2 stiry in CP. pls lessen the story about the others’ such as eunchan mom’s story, han seung story and japanese boy story, because i think it quite distractive..hope u can reconsider ya!
and pls pls pls start filminf CP 2nd season quickly! i can hardly to wait!
