MBC have interest for Coffee Prince Season 2
Lead by Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye, Korea’s MBC Channel’s popular drama Coffee Prince broadcasted Episode 17 Finale on the 26th August. Unfortunately, ratings were unable to break 30%, only reaching 27.7%. MBC has already expressed interest in filming a sequel
The night before, Coffee Prince’s actors and staff went to some Charcoal beef restaurant in Seoul for celebration party and to watch the finale together. On the night, bills were paid by female lead, Yoon Eun Hye. She and Gong Yoo both really liked CP, EH said “This drama was natural, simple and honest. On the filming sites, the atmosphere was very relaxed and pleasant/cheerful. Even though I had to cross-dress in the drama, giving up the chance to pretty myself, it was because of my natural dress up that lead to even more love from the public.”
Gong Yoo says: “I never even thought that the drama’s ratings would be able to border 30%, everyone really likes this drama, EH and I both felt that even if ratings performance wasn’t that good, it definitely is an outstanding drama. During my time filming the drama, it never felt like i was going to work, more like going to have fun. It’s been a while since i’ve had fun to this happy extent! So I need to thank EH and the director.” Gong Yoo also announced: “CP might be my last work of art/creation before I serve in the army, even though i’ve already received notice that i’m to enlist in October, but it might get postponed. However, at the lastest, i will still enlist within the year.”
Aside from this, alot of viewers wish for a sequel, even helping the channel in brainstorming ideas – pointing towards YEH’s Eunchan to become the “2nd store”’s boss. MBC also expressed interest in filming a sequel, but because of GY’S enlistment he may not be able to participate.

Hi!
I am one of the million viewer and fan of coffee prince here in the philippines, like most of the commentor, I already finished wathching the show in tape and via web (actually I’ve watched the 17th episode trice already), but I still didn’t fail waitching the episode dubbed in tagalog everyday. I personally saw that CP differs from other stories since the characters doesn’t contain an antagonist or “evil kontrabida” that hinders their lovestory, but instead personal and situational conflicts were present (han kyul’s initial belief that eun chan is a man), making it very realistic and fun. I love the drama’s its not overly done, and the reconcilliation (of the 2 lead characters) everytime they had conflicts are rally very romantic (kilig). it made me really kilig even at my age. Congratulations to the cast and crew of this KDrama, the piece is very very wonderful, we are looking forward to a sequel..hopefully all the original cast intact! and medyo nabitin ako sa ending talaga, bitin! =)

indeed coffee prince had make its way out across teh whole asian! and as everyone said: to have CP2! and, keep all teh original cast! its because of them (the cast), everyone across asian LOVED it so much! imagine in the CP2, without original cast, i dont think the viewer’s rate will be as high as compared to coffee prince. so MBC, PLEASE consider us, the viewer’s requested! i believe that MBC have interest of making CP2 is because of the fantastic viewer’s rate right? and that goes from us. so please, keep the orginal cast. wait for gong yoo to finished his military after two years, its worth waiting!

I have just finished watching the coffee prince last night. Because it is so good, i’ve watched the whole drama in just 2 days! Now my eyes are swollen…I’ve only had 3 hrs sleep in each of the 2 crazy days..haha
Anyway, I sympathize with the rest of the comments here. Without Gong Yoo or without all the original cast, 2nd season will not be worth watching. The reason is that each character makes the drama come to life and if these characters will be portrayed by other persons, it will not be the same. It will just be very awkward. The viewer will just keep wishing that “the original” is the person he/she is seeing, making it somewhat unbearable. Please, if the network wants to make a sequel, still catch high viwers’ ratings and make more business out of it, KEEP THE ORIGINAL CAST. THIS WILL MAKE US ALL HAPPY. right? hehe..

i’m looking for song in coffe prince episode 16.
In that scene, Han Kyul give his permittion to Eun Chan to study abroad.
And then Eun Chan give her big hug from back to Han Kyul.
That song is very nice.
Anybody knows what is the title of the song, and may be anybody have the mp3 or mpeg. I love that song very much.

i wish there will be another season of coffee prince… because season 1 made me feel sad about the ending, there’s something lacking at the end of the story… but i do love the series of coffee prince… i love the characters yoon eun hye as Andie Go… and her loveteam gong yoo as Arthur Choi…LOVE THEM… PLEASE MAKE A SEASON 2!!! Me and my mom love the series , this is the best ever in Philippines. We are hoping for CP 2 with Euan Y and GY.
It makes me smile all the time now after watching the episodes. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
All the characters are great, Funny and everything you name it. It’s like a watching a true to life story. Very realistic and very romantic. Oh! I felt bad that GY need to serve military but he have reason. All I want i sto see Eaun C and GY to get married .

i really really super love this korean drama..
i mean, its fun, bubbly but very very romantic….
its so sad because it’s done..
but i’m hoping for a sequel, i really really do…
i like the casts specially Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo…
they’re so adorable and phenomenal…
i hope and pray and wish that there would be a sequel, and still Yoon Eun Hye and Gong Yoo would be the main characters and lovers..

Please do have season 2 and 3 and four and so on! but only with gong yoo and EH~ without either of them the drama would suck… so please wat for gong yoo to get back from military service to film second season.. In the mean while, write the scripts for the second season! WOOT IM SO EXCITED.

can somebody give some info, I would like to watch any other drama played by either GY or EH..and I sure hope i can get it here in Malaysia…
You guys really made me crazy about these two by watching CP..CP is like magic so..heartwarming. it makes me feels good everytime I watched it. and GY can really melted my heart. After the long hours in the office and the crazy workload, watching CP (esp GY EH) at home really washed all the tension away..thank you MBC..I’m looking forward for the sequel but I beg MBC to maintan GY n EH in the cast..only then the magic will work..
Send my regard to GY.with lot of love of course …tell him he got lots of fan here in Malaysia..I hope I can meet him in person..he’s so tall. I really hope s/body can tell me any other drama played by either GY or EH, maybe MBC can give some info..

you can’t have a rating of 30% if gong yoo can’t participate on your plan to make a season 2 of coffee prince.. you reached the 30% rating because of Gong Yoo and Eun hye..
I’ll suggest that you should wait for Gong Yoo, while he is in his military service. If you did wait, then you’ll see that this mini-series Coffee Prince will become a phenomenon and also a legend..
So, let’s worth the wait.. then you’ll see…
if you don’t.. the people will insist because of some changes in your korean drama.. and maybe people won’t like it, as the way they like the 1st season of coffee prince..
i’m not torturing you, but this is also for your own good…

ok 2 years is long but we, especially i, can wait till Gong Yoo is back. i’m not crazy but if in the cp2 GY isn’t there, goooossh i will be, huhuhuhu…please MBC do as a favor don’t make another season without GY please… please…please. ms. Eun Hye i know you’re still single and Mr. GY is still single too, if ever in the future he will court you please, give it a try, you two are a perfect match….
i think it’s best that GY is still the manager in the CP2. and im hoping that in the CP2 they get married na…..how sweet….and at the end of the story EH is pregnant…. so that there’s still a chance for season three…hahaha with kids naman……good luck lets wait for GONG YOO pls……

coffee prince is not coffee prince without the loveteam of gong yoo and eun hye. this is the most beautiful koreanovela that i had watch. i can still feel the magic of their love, i know many of us are asking for the second season but i cannot imagine how it’ll be without gong yoo. two years isn’t that long for us to wait till GY is back.i can surf at the internet to refresh the memories of the 1st shop coffee prince, while you’re filming the second CP.gosh i hope that gong yoo will court eun hye in the future they are sure an excellent match…good luck to both of you…

I can’t sleep and work well if I dont watch CP…so I just bought the cds..arghhh. definitely going to hurt my pocket for this month..but it worth it..My friends say I’m crazy..they’re right of course, I’m crazy about Han Kyul and Eun Chan. I watch a lot of korean romantic comedy drama but so far CP is the best. I hope MBC will not lose the magic it has created to captured crazy fan like me in the sequel. looking forward to watch it..however please let Han Kyul and Euc Chan be together till the end in the sequel. it’ll broke my heart if they didn’t.
